To Noodle or not to Noodle - San Diego, CA

It is the new normal where most cannot dine in restaurants and the alternative is to order delivery/takeout. County and city regulations banned restaurants from offering dine-in in San Diego. When in San Diego, you have to get some noodles from Thai Time Downtown. Every day you are on vacation is leg day so you don't have to feel bad eating some Thai food. The portions were large and you should have leftovers, enough for the next meal. As far as I know, this restaurant only has one location but since you cannot dine-in anyway, takeout will be a good option. Please note that they close on Sundays and you should call before ordering to make sure they are still open. You can try ordering the pad thai and any soupy noodles. During the trip, my dad and I went to the restaurant once to get our fix of Asian noodles. The restaurant is more of a takeout place anyway so there should always be available seats (when the restaurant reopens for dine-in). Thai food at this restaurant was delicious. Of course, I am biased since I really like Thai food. The restaurant is half a block away from the Westin so it is perfect if you stay there. After your dinner. you can walk in the downtown area to walk off the food.

This plate of pad thai cost about $11, which is reasonable for San Diego. The price was worth every penny. There are plenty of veggies in the noodles and that made me really happy. The ratio is perfect for me to eat without guilt. You can share this menu item because of its generous portion.
